’One morning, a little boy saw his father, who was carrying a machete and two baskets going to the crop field to harvest cassava and ran to join him. When they got to the field, the father cut the stems off the plants with the machete and together they pulled the roots up from the earth, removed the tubers and carried them home in the baskets.’
